It is a well known fact, for instance, that the First Mikdash was destroyed in 586 BCE and the Second Mikdash was consecrated in 516 BCE, and destroyed in 70 CE. The Second Mikdash, therefore, stood 585 years (not 586), while according to Jewish chronology, it stood only 420 years (See Yoma 9a and Yerushalmi Megilah I, 12).

After the Babylonian captivity the Jews carried back with them the Babylonian solar/lunar calendar and used it to determine the dates for high Holy Days.

But at the time when the Messiah was born a man came on the scene and later started a school. His name was Hillel the Elder. Not to be confused with Hillel II who changed the calendar to what we have now with all the postponements.

A study of this man is enlightening. His writing is very much like the Messiah in many ways. In particular the scriptures about the Beatitudes. His views were very much like the Messiah.

What did he do, at the beginning of the years of the Messiah? Their own history records this.

The decree of establishing the Rosh Hodesh on the basis of calculations which are unconnected to the appearance of the moon was enacted by the Rabbanite, Hillel the Elder. The method was guarded as a secret to keep the people from knowing about the change and therefore was called by our brothers the Rabbinc Jews "The Secret of Intercalation" (this is testified to in many Rabbinic works, for example "Magid Harakia`" p.35).

Notice, not connected to the appearance of the moon. But done by calculation.

So, according to their writings the counting then was from the Conjunction, not the Crescent. That is why we feel the Father wanted things right for His Son.

Hillel the Elder came on the scene about the same year that the Messiah, Yahshua was born.

So, we decided that whatever was being used at the time of the Savior Yahshua, was correct. Mainly because of the Passover and Pentecost.

In 30 A.D. the Conjunction and the V.E. both occurred on the same day!

Equinox was on March 22 at 1:a.m. and the Conjunction was at 8 P.M.

We in our studies found that the Messiah was crucified in 30 A.D. and that Passover was a Wednesday.

Checking with the Naval and National Observatory, we found beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they only way you can reach a Wednesday Passover was counting from the Conjunction. We check the years 29,30,31,32,33, 34. We found that in the year 34, you can get a Wednesday Passover, from the crescent moon if you could see it in 10 hours (I think it was) from Conjunction. That is almost impossible.

We also found 30 A.D. fits the prophecy in the Book of Daniel.

Looking at Daniel 9: 25-27

A day of prophetic fulfillment is a year in actual time (Ezek 4.4-6) & (Num 14.34). The total number of years from the decree to restore Jerusalem until the ministry of Messiah is figured this way: 69 (weeks) X 7 (days a week) equals 483 prophetic days, or 483 years of actual time.

The decree was issued to Ezra by King Artaxerxes of Persia (Ezra 7.8 -11). This decree officially established Jerusalem as a provincial capital city, under its own governor, within the Persian Realm. The seventh year of Artaxerxes was the calendar year from September 458 BC to September 457 BC.

The 483 years of the 69 week prophecy extended from that time forward to AD 27. That was the time Yahshua the Messiah began His ministry. 69 X 7 = 483 years - 457 BC the year the decree was issued This leaves a subtotal of 26 years, or AD 26 The prophecy of Daniel 9 contains another prophetic week, making a total of 70 weeks.

Since AD 26 -adding 3 1/2 half years of the ministry of Yahshua would bring us to the Spring AD 30, the time of His death. Yahshua was about 30 in the Autumn of AD 26.

Three decrees concerning Jerusalem are recorded, that of Cyrus, B.C. 536 (Ussher), for the restoration of the "house of Yahweh Elohim of Israel" (2Chr. 36.22.23; Ezra 1.1-3); that of Darius (Ez. 6.3-8, B.C. 521-486), and that of Artaxerxes in his seventh year (Ez. 7.7, say, B.C. 458). Artaxerxes in his twentieth year, B.C. 444 (Hales, Jahn), 446 (A.V.), 454 (Ussher, Hengstenberg), gave permission for the rebuilding of the "city," i.e., "Jerusalem" (Neh. 2.1-8). The latter decree is obviously, that from which the "seven weeks" (49 years) run, unless by "the commandment to restore," etc. is meant the divine decree (Dan. 9.23).

In the present state of biblical chronology the date of the decree of Artaxerxes cannot be unanswerably fixed farther than to say that it was issued between 454 and 444 B.C. In either case we are brought to the time of Yahshua Messiah. Prophetic time is invariably so near as to give full warning, so indeterminate as to give no satisfaction to mere curiosity (cf. Mat. 24.36; Acts 1.7). The 434 years reckon, of course, from the end of the seven weeks so that the whole time from "the going forth of the commandment to restore," etc., "unto the Messiah" is sixty-nine weeks of years, or 483 years.

Why would we trust an observatory in this important decision? Well, they have no religious axe to grind. They care less on how or when we observe the Set-Apart days.

So, armed with that info, we set out to see if the postponements were in effect during that time. So far, we cannot find that they were.

Now we have our final understanding-Time time of our Savior's crucification and how it was counted.

Clearly, my much proof, it was counted from the New Moon (dark, conjunction) to arrive at a Wednesday Passover.

It is interesting to note here that the New Moon arrived on the day of the Vernal Equinox.

Just what exactly does this term refer to, when it comes to the word of YHWH?

Lets take a look at some of the scriptures, which give an explanation.

Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Yahweh seven days: on the first day [shall be] a Sabbath, and on the eighth day [shall be] a Sabbath.

Ex 23:16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, [which is] in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

Deut 16:13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:

Ex 34:22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.

Deut 16:13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:

Deut 14:24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; [or] if the place be too far from thee, which Yahweh thy Elohim shall choose to set his name there, when Yahweh thy Elohim hath blessed thee:

Deut 14:25 Then shalt thou turn [it] into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which Yahweh thy Elohim shall choose:

Notice the words, "year's end" -- "after"! What exactly are these scriptures trying to convey?

The term "Years end", merely means the end of the growing season. The season starts in the spring, by Yahweh's sign of the Vernal Equinox, and it ends by Yahweh’s sign of the Autumn Equinox. That is simple enough to understand! This is the time to grow.

The term "after" means just what it says. After you have gathered in (harvested) ALL your crops you shall go to the Feast of Tabernacles.

How did they get to the Feast of Tabernacles? By walking or riding a donkey.

They were to turn their produce into money and go to the Feast.

How long did that take? A few days, or a week or more?

The principal crops of the region, were undoubtedly, wheat and barely, from which was derived the common bread of the country. Mention is also made of spelt, millet, lentils, flax, cucumbers, melons, beans, cumin, fennel, etc. Hay was not in use as fodder at that time, consequently barley with chopped straw was fed to cattle (Gen. 24:25, 32 Judg. 19:19, sq.).  Most assuredly the crops included grapes and olives and olive oil.

Notice the growing season of the different crops. Some were harvested later than others were.

The sowing began after the Feast of Tabernacles (the end of October and in November), in the time when the autumn rains come gradually, thus leaving the farmer time to sow his wheat and barely. Summer fruits (millet, beans, etc.) were sown in January and February. Harvest began with the barley (II Sam. 21:9; Ruth 2:23), which ripens from two to three weeks before wheat, and was begun after the presentation of the first barley sheaf. Lentils, etc. were also ready at the same time as the barley. Then came the wheat and spelt, so that the chief part of the grain harvest closed around Pentecost.

Year 1999

If you followed the Jewish Calendar in 1999  you would have  observed the Feast of Tabernacles starting September 25.

The Autumn Equinox was September 23. In 2010 Tabernacles will begin by the Jewish Calendar on September 23 on the Autumal Equinox. This would have been 2 days after the Autumn Equinox. Do you think that was enough time to gather in "ALL your crops," turn it into money, and walk to the Feast?

I don't think so! Checking with Israel during September 23 in 1999, we found that ALL the crops had not even been harvested. Some had, but others had not.

The question then arises, "Would Yahweh set the Feast so early, that some could not harvest their crop and turn it into money, and walk to the Feast"?

If we are in sync with the signs of Yahweh, we will be in sync with the harvests.

Notice the "Later rains", begin after the Feast of Tabernacles and the sowing begins for the winter crops.

Many others not following our calendar realized it was simply just too early for the Feast of Tabernacles.

However, for some of us, attempting to follow the signs of Yahweh, we found when we observed the Feast of Tabernacles, (October 23), ALL the harvest was done in Israel, the people had time to sell their produce, turn it into money and travel to the Feast.

As I (Jim Inlge) traveled to the Feast in 1999, I noticed here in the U.S., the crop had just been picked, the Soybeans had been combined, and other produce had just been harvested.

It is obvious that the early Feast set by the Jewish Calendar, was about a month too early for the end of the year harvest.

We have tried simply to show you why we disagree with the Jewish Calendar. Also, tried to show a brief history of the calendar until the time of the Savior Yahshua.

If this had been the case, we would have had to count days, months and try to get it all to correspond with the Roman Calendar or Jewish Calendar in some fashion.

The Jewish nation followed to a certain extent the Babylonian Calendar when they came back from captivity.

The Jewish Calendar that is used today followed the Roman Calendar

Many have attempted to do this very thing, and it usually comes up wrong in some way. They then are forced to add, or take away days per month, figure in leap years and so on.

For example, the Jewish Calendar has used the Roman Calendar when it was made. Clearly this is a mixture with the Roman Calendar which is entirely pagan.

Many today attempting to write a "Holy Day Calendar" still do the same, using the Roman Calendar as a basis.

Yahweh does not accept any man made calendars in regard to His Set-apart Days (His Appointments)!

If we could only forget man made calendars and accept His commandments in regard to keeping His Set-apart Days, then our problems would be at an end!

The answer is quite simple: We have decided to let Yahweh show us through His scriptures when to count for the Set-apart Days!

The "calendar" we arrived at, are simply based on Instructions, Commandments, and understanding!

No.1 To let Yahweh show us when to begin the months, by providing the sign in the heavens (a miracle of Yahweh's time clock) called the Vernal Equinox! This begins the growing and harvest season.

No.2 To let Yahweh show us by the first (Conjunction) on or after the V.E., when to start counting to the Set-apart Days. This also is one of His miracles.

No.3 To let Yahweh show us when the beginning of each month begins by the (conjunction of the Sun, Moon and Earth).

No.4 To let Yahweh show us when the growing and harvest season ends. The end of year by the Autumn Equinox. Another of Yahweh's miracles.

By following YHWH’s instruction, regardless of what the Roman calendar says, we then would be in harmony with Him.

Yahweh says to His people "Come ye out of Babylon"

The world is locked into the Babylonish system today. By following Yahweh's laws in regard to His Set-apart Days, is one of the ways to come out.
